My niece who lives on Telegraph Hill was the victim of an attempted robbery, in the MIDDLE OF THE AFTERNOON, while walking in North Beach..

I’ve lived in SF for 28+ years. The policies concerning drug /alcohol use in public & crime have lead to a situation that is only getting worse. I understand the desire to act in a compassionate way when dealing with individuals, however, if there is no threat of punishment, the relatively small minority of repeat offenders will continue to offend.
