A Prolific Burglar is Sentenced

Deshawn Patton is a prolific car burglar. He was initially charged with alleged four counts of 2nd degree burglary, possession of burglar tools, conspiracy to commit a crime, evading an officer with willful disregard, possession of an assault weapon, etc. A plea deal has been reached before Judge Kay Tsenin in Department 29 at 850 Bryant Street. Although prison time of 2 years and 4 months was given, the plea transcript states that, “as of the sentencing date of May 12, 2023 the defendant will have served his 2 years and 4 months pursuant to this plea.” In other words, he was sentenced to time served and can be released from custody unless there are other cases pending against him.  Our Court Watch volunteers attended the sentencing hearing. We invite you to help us with our Court Watch program by becoming a volunteer. You can attend a little as one court session. Sign up here.
